440C Stainless Steel BarThe main advantages of 440C stainless steel rod include high hardness, good wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and excellent processing performance. Specifically:
High hardness: The hardness of 440C stainless steel can reach HRC56-58, and after cryogenic treatment, the hardness can be further increased to HRC58-62

Good wear resistance: Due to its high carbon content (0.95% -1.20%), 440C stainless steel has excellent wear resistance and is suitable for applications that require high wear resistance, such as cutting tools and cold work molds
Corrosion resistance: 440C stainless steel has good corrosion resistance and is suitable for some occasions that require corrosion resistance. Although its corrosion resistance is not as good as austenitic stainless steels such as 304 or 316, it still performs well in many environments- 304L/1.4307 Stainless Steel Bar304L/1.4307 stainless steel bar is used where welding is involved, as a variant of 304 stainless steel bar. The lower carbon content greatly lowers the precipitation of carbides in the heat-affected zone close to the weld, and such precipitation is likely to lead to intergranular corrosion of stainless steel in certain settings. Basically, their is no need to anneal weld joints prior to using the completed metal form using 304L, saving time and effort.
